POSITION SUMMARY:
The YMCA of Southern Nevada is looking for a marketing coordinator to join our team. The Association Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of marketing and communication initiatives that advance the YMCA of Southern Nevada's mission and strategic goals. Working closely with the Marketing Director, this position creates engaging content, coordinates marketing projects, and supports digital communications that promote YMCA membership, programs, fundraising efforts, events, and community impact.
This role is responsible for producing high-quality marketing materials, managing day-to-day social media execution, supporting email and website communications, and helping maintain a consistent YMCA brand across all association locations.
This is a part-time in-person position and will require approximately 25-30 hours per week. The position will be based at the Centennial Hills YMCA - 6601 N Buffalo Drive Las Vegas, Nevada. Evening and weekend scheduling will be required as needed to support community events and Y programming.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Marketing Coordination: Supports the execution of association marketing initiatives by:
    1. Coordinating marketing requests from YMCA branches and departments.
    2. Assisting with the implementation of marketing campaigns promoting membership, programs, events, fundraising, and community initiatives.
    3. Maintaining marketing project timelines and assisting with campaign organization.
    4. Collecting marketing performance data and preparing monthly reports and analytics.
    5. Ensuring marketing materials align with YMCA brand standards.
  2. Project Coordination: Coordinates marketing workflows, including but not limited to:
    1. Graphic design requests.
    2. Email marketing projects.
    3. Website updates.
    4. Digital and print marketing materials.
    5. Organizing and maintaining marketing assets, templates, and shared resources.
  3. Social Media & Digital Content: Supports the YMCA's digital presence by:
    1. Creating engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging social platforms.
    2. Photographing and filming YMCA programs, events, staff, and member stories.
    3. Editing short-form videos and promotional content for digital platforms.
    4. Scheduling and publishing approved social media content.
    5. Monitoring comments, direct messages, and online reviews while escalating member concerns when appropriate.
    6. Assisting with maintaining monthly content calendars.
    7. Researching social media trends and recommending creative content ideas.
  4. Graphic Design & Brand Support: Creates and maintains marketing materials by:
    1. Designing flyers, brochures, banners, posters, digital signage, social media graphics, and promotional materials.
    2. Preparing files for print production and coordinating with vendors when needed.
    3. Maintaining Canva templates and other marketing assets.
    4. Supporting consistent implementation of YMCA branding standards across all materials.
  5. Communications: Supports association communications through:
    1. Drafting email newsletters and marketing communications.
    2. Assisting with the website updates and digital content management.
    3. Writing and proofreading marketing copy for digital and print communications.
    4. Supporting storytelling initiatives that highlight YMCA programs, events, and community impact.
  6. Photography, Video & Multimedia: Produces multimedia content by:
    1. Capturing photography and video at YMCA programs, events, and community activities.
    2. Editing promotional videos and social media content.
    3. Organizing and maintaining the association's digital photo and video library.
    4. Assisting with multimedia projects that support organizational marketing initiatives.
  7. Events & Community Engagement: Supports marketing efforts for association and branch events by:
    1. Assisting with promotional campaigns for events and programs.
    2. Coordinating event signage and marketing materials.
    3. Representing the YMCA at community events as assigned.
    4. Assisting with post-event marketing and storytelling.
  8. Analytics & Reporting: Supports data-informed marketing efforts by:
    1. Compiling monthly social media, website, and email marketing reports.
    2. Tracking campaign performance metrics.
    3. Assisting with marketing data collection and reporting.
    4. Identifying trends and opportunities to improve engagement.

  • Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in marketing, communications, social media management, graphic design, content creation, or a related field. Experience with a nonprofit organization is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing content across multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Suite is required.
  • Experience with photography, videography, and video editing, including creating short-form content for digital and social media platforms.
  • Strong copywriting, proofreading, and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
