Job description

Company Description: John W. Stone Oil Distributor, LLC is the local leader in dockside, mid-streaming, and offshore fueling along the Mississippi River, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana,to Houston, Texas, and into the Gulf of Mexico.

Position: Production Warehouse/Forklift Operator I

Reports To: Production Manager, MEGA

Worksite: The facility is in Houston, Texas (Houston Ship Channel Area). The company's headquarters is in Gretna, Louisiana. (The greater New Orleans area).

Work Schedule: 7am-5pm Monday-Friday, some overtime required, including weekends.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Operate a forklift
  • Initiate warehouse operations each day (open doors for business, turn on boiler fans, air compressor and experience preferred. Heatbox as needed)
  • Inventory reports and inventory management (weekly and monthly)
  • Check shipments to be filled each day (will calls and scheduled pick-ups) and pull orders accordingly
  • Assist in load verification and offloading/loading of packaged goods
  • Note all special shipping instructions, ensure those instructions are followed
  • Documenting (written and photo) of incoming and outgoing goods
  • Responsible for all warehouse areas (organization, tidiness, emptying oil waste, etc.)
  • Working with other departments (Lab, Blenders, etc.) to streamline production and logistics
  • Pulling, staging, and labeling of drums, totes, pails and stainless-steel totes waiting to be filled
  • Running the drumline filling system and ensuring all drums and totes are filled correctly and safely
  • Filling and repackaging totes, drums, pails, and stainless-steel totes as needed
  • Throwing dirty drums into the designated trailer for pickup
  • Wrapping pallets of finished goods as needed
  • Pumping flush oil totes into designated tank
  • Ensure all safety requirements and precautions are followed and taken
  • Cross-training for the performance of other duties at the company's facility
  • Physical activity, such as reaching, bending, and lifting/carrying 50 lbs. or more.
  • Other duties that may be requested by the Director, Supervisor or Executive Management as needed.

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • At Least Six Months of Heavy Manual-Labor Work Experience.
