Job description

This is a full-time, on-site position at our Ontario, CA location. Working hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Typical pay for this position is $70,000- $85,000 annually. The final offer for this position will be based on the unique experience and qualifications of the candidate selected. This position may also be eligible for a bonus not included in the base pay range.
The Photographer plays an essential role in communicating the excitement of the radio control hobby through images that reach a worldwide audience of RC enthusiasts. In the studio and on location, you'll use your skills to capture the realism and performance of detailed scale vehicles, plus a wide variety of other products and accessories. You'll also travel to events across the country to document the thrills of competition and the camaraderie of the RC lifestyle.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Ensure that imagery output exceeds industry standards and expectations.
  • Schedule and coordinate product lifestyle photo shoots with models, RC drivers
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of the technical, aesthetic, and production requirements of a photoshoot.
  • Meet deadlines and manage tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Scout possible photo shoot locations.
  • Be flexible enough to shift priorities quickly when needed.
  • Collaborate with product development, brand management, and graphic designers.
  • Oversee brand standards, lighting technique, and image quality.
  • Organize and tag images in Digital Asset Management System.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs to photo equipment.
  • Light video editing - working with raw video footage to cut, trim and sequence footage into polished videos.

*Occasional travel and pre-planned weekend events may be required.
Education and/or Experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in studio/photo industry.
  • Product photography experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency using DSLR or professional style mirrorless cameras.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required, including Photoshop, Lightroom and Premier
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of natural lighting, indoor and studio lighting techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds independently.
  • Must be able to move and hold camera equipment for long periods.
