This Role
As a Social Content Studio Co-op, you'll be part of the production engine behind Shark Home, Shark Beauty and Ninja's social content. You'll assist with filming, editing, producing, and occasionally stepping in front of the camera as talent. You'll work daily alongside our three Studio Managers, learning their craft and supporting their projects from concept through final cut, while reporting into the Sr. Director of the Social Content Studio. This is a hands-on, in-studio role for someone who wants to build real production knowledge in a fast-moving social content environment.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you'll get to do:
  • Support day-to-day production across the Social Content Studio, working alongside three Studio Managers on their active projects
  • Assist with filming social-first video content, including camera operation, lighting, and audio setup for shoots
  • Edit short-form video content in Capcut. Support photo editing and content design through Canva.
  • Assist on set and hone your skills filming, lighting, propping, and more.
  • Occasionally step in as on-camera talent when a shoot calls for it, bringing energy and authenticity to the brand
  • Stay current on social video trends, formats, and editing techniques, and bring fresh ideas back to the studio

ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:
  • Education: Current student in their third year or beyond of a bachelor's program, currently enrolled in a master's program, or has graduated within the past year
  • Must be able to work a full-time, 40-hour-per-week schedule onsite at our Social Content Studio in Irvine, CA.
  • Hands-on experience or coursework in video filming, editing, or production (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Capcut, or similar)
  • Comfortable on camera and willing to appear as talent when needed - no formal acting experience required, just presence and good energy
  • Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple shoots, projects, and deadlines at once
  • Ability to take direction from and collaborate with multiple team members, adapting to different working styles
  • Creative eye for social-first storytelling and a pulse on current platform trends and formats
  • Comfortable using AI tools to speed up ideation, editing, and content workflows
  • Proactive, adaptable, and energized by fast-paced, hands-on production work
