Job description

Description:

Marketing Specialist, Social & Content

Full-Time | 35-Hour Work Week | Atlanta, GA

Capture the Stories That Change Lives

Jewish Family & Career Services of Atlanta (JF&CS) is seeking a creative, Marketing Specialist, Social & Content to manage the day-to-day of our social media accounts and help bring JF&CS's programs and events to life through photo, video, and graphic content. This position reports to the Marketing Manager, Content.

The Role at a Glance

• No direct reports

• Manages day-to-day content and community engagement for all JF&CS social accounts

• Hands-on, creative role — equal parts photographer, editor, designer, and community manager

• Extensive use of Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud

You'll be out in the community capturing photos and video at our programs and events, then turning that content into posts, reels, graphics, flyers, and other marketing deliverables that connect people to JF&CS. You'll be joining a fun, dynamic team that cares as much about good work as it does about having a good time doing it.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

Social Media & Community Engagement

• Manage the day-to-day posting and scheduling for all JF&CS-owned social media accounts

• Own community engagement — responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, on-brand way

• Monitor social channels for opportunities to engage, celebrate, and connect with our community

• Track basic social performance and flag what's resonating

Content Creation & Capture

• Travel to JF&CS programs and events to capture photos, video, and stories on the ground

• Develop copy, graphics, and video content, including reels, for social media

• Shoot and edit video for both social media and broader marketing use

• Build and maintain a library of usable photo and video content for the marketing team

Graphic Design & Production

• Design graphics and imagery for social media using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Cloud

• Create flyers, invitations, and other marketing materials for programs and events

• Ensure all content is on-brand and consistent with JF&CS style guidelines

Team Support

• Partner with the Marketing Manager, Content and the rest of the marketing team to plan content calendars and campaigns

• Support the broader marketing department with additional creative and production needs as they arise

Requirements:

You are:

• Creative, curious, and comfortable in front of and behind the camera

• Just as happy editing a reel as you are laying out a flyer

• Someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with people online, not just posting at them

• Comfortable being the face (and hands) of JF&CS at events around Atlanta

• Genuinely curious about JF&CS's mission and interested in the people and programs behind the work

You have:

• Hands-on experience creating content for social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)

• Video editing skills for short-form social content and longer marketing use

• Proficiency in Canva for graphic design; experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign) a plus

• A good eye for photography and design, and comfort shooting on the go at events

• Strong writing skills for social captions and marketing copy

You bring:

• 1–3 years of experience in social media, content creation, or a related field

• Experience capturing and editing photo/video content

• Experience with Canva; Adobe Creative Cloud experience a plus

• Comfort attending programs and events to capture content

• Background in nonprofit, social impact, or mission-driven work a plus

• Strong knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions preferred

• Flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends

Why JF&CS?

At JF&CS, marketing is about connection, dignity, and impact, not just clicks. You'll work alongside a fun, dynamic team that cares deeply about the community and the people we serve — and you'll be the one behind the lens capturing it all.

What We Offer:

• Up to 20 days of paid time off (PTO) annually, prorated in the first year

• Paid holidays

• Comprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental insurance

• 401(k) with employer matching

• Paid parental leave

Candidates selected for employment must successfully complete a pre-employment background screening and drug screening. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory results for both. In addition, tuberculosis (TB) testing and fingerprinting may be required, as applicable.

Equal Opportunity Employer Statement JF&CS is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination. We embrace our employees’ unique qualities, which fuel interest, innovation, and business success. As an EEO employer, JF&CS will engage in interactive dialogue regarding any accommodation requested based on medical or religious considerations.
