Job description

Under the direction of the Digital and Social Media Marketing Manager, the Marketing & Content Coordinator supports JCC Greater Boston's marketing and communications efforts by creating compelling content and coordinating marketing initiatives that highlight the breadth of programs, events, services, and experiences offered across the organization.  

The Marketing & Content Creator will work collaboratively alongside a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, building relationships with various stakeholders to implement innovative marketing strategies that promote our programs and services. This position is responsible for managing one or more of the organization's social media accounts, creating compelling content and marketing collateral for print and digital use, and assisting in capturing photo and video assets for the Marketing team's use.

Primary responsibilities include, and are not limited to:

Content Creation & Storytelling  

  • Write and edit engaging content for a variety of platforms including website pages, emails, social media posts, and digital and print materials 
  • Assist with the creation and coordination of print collateral and digital marketing assets 
  • Assist in creating and managing content for the plasma screens throughout the JCC, ensuring information displayed is engaging, accurate, and up to date at all times 
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather content for marketing campaigns and ensure brand consistency across platforms 
  • Identify and develop stories to share across JCC platforms that highlight the organization's programs, community members, staff, and impact 
  • Coordinate and/or assist with photography and video needs for marketing initiatives and events 

 
Digital Marketing  

  • Update and maintain website content to ensure information is accurate, timely, and engaging 
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns including drafting content, building campaigns, scheduling, and tracking performance as needed 
  • Support social media planning, content creation, scheduling, and engagement tracking across JCC channels 
  • Assist in creating and managing paid search and social media campaigns across digital platforms 
  • Monitor digital analytics and provide insights on content performance and audience engagement 
     

Marketing Campaign Coordination  

  • Coordinate marketing support for programs, events, and initiatives across departments as needed 
  • Manage timelines and track marketing requests to ensure projects are completed on schedule 
  • Assist in developing marketing plans for key initiatives and campaigns 
  • Assist in managing the marketing calendar and Asana project boards to support cross-team coordination 
  • Maintain organized libraries of marketing materials, images, and templates

This full-time, hourly, non-exempt position pays $23.05 - $24.52 offers a comprehensive benefits package, a supportive work environment (with a hybrid work option for some administrative duties), and a competitive starting pay rate of $23.05-$24.52 per hour.

The salary offered will ultimately be determined by relevant qualifications, experience, and JCC's internal equity.

Requirements

Education and Experience: College degree required; degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, or social media management required.  

Experience working with Microsoft Office, Canva, social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn,), and Campaign Monitor or equivalent email marketing tools is needed; experience with WordPress or similar CMS a plus.   

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the JCC's discretion to meet this minimum hiring criteria. 

Skills and Abilities:   

  • Excellent visual and written storytelling skills with an eye for detail and design 
  • Comfortable capturing photos and video with phone or camera, including editing basic content for digital use 
  • Ability to translate ideas into engaging digital content that aligns with JCC values and branding 
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities 
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights 
  • Basic graphic design skills or experience with tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite 
  • A team player with a proactive, self-starter attitude and a willingness to support evolving marketing needs 
  • Must have a record of successfully working well independently and with others, building/sustaining collaborative working relationships with a variety of stakeholders 

Physical Requirements: This is a hybrid role: many administrative tasks may be conducted remotely, and on-site presence is required for regular content capture and collaboration. Must be able to walk long distances, lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds (e.g., photo equipment, collateral). Some evenings and weekends may be required for capturing content related to programs and events.
