The Assortment Planner supports the development, execution, and maintenance of frame assortments across Eyemart Express retail locations. This role analyzes sales trends, inventory performance, and merchandising effectiveness to recommend store assortments and support strategic merchandising initiatives. The role partners closely with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations teams to ensure stores are stocked with the right products, presented consistently, and positioned to drive sales performance.
Responsibilities:
Assortment Planning & Analysis
  • Analyze frame sales, inventory trends, and product performance at the store and cluster level.
  • Develop and maintain store assortment plans based on sales trends, inventory needs, and product updates.
  • Recommend assortment changes and collaborate with the merchandising team to gain alignment on assortment strategies.
  • Support store clustering initiatives through data analysis and product recommendations.
  • Provide inventory analysis and recommendations to improve stock balance and inventory turns.

Merchandising Execution
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of visual merchandising standards across all retail locations.
  • Communicate assortment and merchandising updates through One Door.
  • Organize and manage merchandising campaigns and communications.
  • Assist with plan-o-gram development and execution for new stores, relocations, and remodels.
  • Conduct and review merchandising photo audits to ensure compliance with merchandising standards.

Inventory & Product Management
  • Maintain inventory of retail graphics, signage, acrylics, and merchandising materials.
  • Respond to store requests related to signage, merchandising needs, and product support.
  • Participate in vendor reviews to stay informed on frame trends and collection performance.
  • Support quarterly reviews of non-model frame inventory and identify opportunities to reduce excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement product and assortment changes.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Prepare reports, analysis, and recommendations to support merchandising decisions.
  • Complete special projects and related assignments as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with data entry and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
