Job description

Job Summary:

The CNC Software Technician’s primary role is to support and train customers in Alphacam and Mastercam software. They are also responsible for back-end technical support and are expected to take and respond to inbound calls and emails from customers.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide technical support to customers via phone and email, troubleshooting software issues and answering questions.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on Alphacam and Mastercam, both online and in-person to coworkers and clients.
  • Assist with time studies and CNC programming tasks as needed.
  • Assist the Sales Department with explaining to customers the correct license version of Alphacam & Mastercam needed based on their application.
  • Travel up to 25% to visit customer locations and conduct onsite training.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with customers and colleagues.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ year of experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g. Mastercam, Alphacam, Fusion360, etc…)
  • 2+ year of CNC machining experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Public speaking experience either in person or online
  • Mastercam/Alphacam experience a plus
  • Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
