Crisis Counselor – Call / Chat / Text (Onsite Only)

Make a Difference When It Matters Most


Are you passionate about helping others through their most difficult moments? We are seeking compassionate, level-headed, and mission-driven Crisis Counselors to provide life-saving support through phone, chat, and text platforms.


In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of mental health support, offering immediate emotional assistance, conducting suicide risk assessments, and connecting individuals with critical resources.


What You’ll Do

  • Respond to crisis hotline calls, chats, and texts with empathy and professionalism
  • Provide suicide risk assessments, emotional support, and crisis intervention
  • Develop safety plans and connect individuals to appropriate resources
  • Accurately document all interactions in a CRM system
  • Collaborate with supervisors and mobile crisis units when needed
  • Conduct follow-ups with high-risk individuals and support ongoing care
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
  • Participate in ongoing training, including 988 crisis response certification

  • High School Diploma or GED required (degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred)
  • Experience in crisis intervention, counseling, or behavioral health strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Tech-savvy with ability to manage multiple systems (phone, chat, documentation)
  • Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
  • Flexible schedule availability (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and serving diverse populations
