Experienced Veterinary Assistants Wanted!

BoosterPet is looking for passionate and experienced Veterinary Assistants to share our vision of providing excellent and cutting edge care for pets and pet parents! We are committed to providing exceptional, technology forward veterinary care to our clients, while providing a fun, and fast paced work environment for you! We are very mindful of work-life balance, and aim to grow our team's passion for this field. We are a technology forward company with the majority of our wellness visits incorporating a technician driven, telehealth approach. We also offer hands on urgent care appointments 7 days a week, across multiple clinics.
Responsibilities Included But Not Limited To.....
  • Play an active role in the BoosterPet medical team to provide quality medical care, model BoosterPet’s core values 
  • Be tech savvy 
  • Support BoosterPet virtual care services 
  • Complete detailed medical records with through medical history. Ensure medical records are accurate within the practice management system 
  • Educate animal owners 
  • Obtain thorough, concise history from clients
  • Obtain and record accurate vitals
  • Liaising with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure continuity of patient care 
  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure safety of pets, clients, and team members 
  • Administering medications and vaccines prescribed by a veterinarian 
  • Maintain medication clerk licensure 
  • Performing phlebotomy duties, and providing intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SQ) injections 
  • Restrain pets in a manner that allows necessary work to be performed, minimizes stress to pets, and ensures the safety of pets and people 
  • Assist at front desk/kiosk and greet clients/patients upon entry 
  • Answer phones and make appointments as needed 
Requirements
Experience required. We are willing to train people who are willing to learn with an upbeat attitude.
Medication Clerk license preferred, will help you obtain if not currently licensed.
You are willing to go with the flow to help a growing company succeed in both conventional and novel ways.
