The Surgical Center at Saline Memorial Medical Center is a fast-paced and clinically diverse environment. • Work under the supervision of board-certified pain management specialists, assisting in the delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients experiencing various types of pain by performing detailed interviews and physical examinations, ensuring comprehensive documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Order necessary laboratory tests, imaging studies, and consultations to aid in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning, collaborating closely with attending physicians.
• Participate in data collection efforts aimed at evaluating treatment effectiveness within the pain management clinic, driving improvements in patient care quality.
• Engage with patients to discuss diagnostic test results, clarify treatment goals, and ensure clear communication regarding their ongoing care plans.
• Manage refill prescriptions for non-controlled pain medications, maintaining continuity of care and addressing patient needs effectively.

You will work predominantly with patients suffering from chronic pain, which includes individuals with diverse backgrounds and pain management needs. Your empathic approach and excellent bedside manner will be critical in helping patients navigate their treatment plans, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their healthcare journey.

• Must hold a valid state license as a Physician Assistant.
• A minimum of two years of professional clinical experience in a similar setting.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and performing basic medical procedures.

• Comfortable operating within a Windows environment, demonstrating computer literacy including EMR proficiency.
