Description:

Bay Colony has an opening for an Armed Safety Protection Officer to ensure security of The Phillips Group properties. This is a PT position - 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM - Weekends Saturday and Sundays. The ideal candidate will provide a safe environment for customers, guests and employees.

Requirements:
  • Investigates crimes and incidents that occur on all properties under control of The Phillips Group. Response to all type of emergencies to include medical, accidents, alarms, team member assistance and natural disasters.
  • Must be able to effectively de-escalate situations before they become hostile or unpleasant. When necessary, makes arrest and follows through with District Court for the prosecution of the defended.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiations skills, excellent customer service, ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. Identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English in a clear, concise manner. Working knowledge of the General Laws of Massachusetts.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree and/or two (2) years of equivalent experience with at least 3 years of carrying a firearm preferred. Must possess a LTC Class A.
  • A valid driver's license for the applicable state and an acceptable merit rating according to Phillips Group Insurance. Must be available to work weekends, nights and holidays. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a psychological evaluation to ensure suitability for armed duties
