Job description

About the Company

Phillips, headquartered in Irvine, has been designing, manufacturing, and distributing high-quality solutions for the commercial truck and trailer industry for nearly a century. With manufacturing and distribution facilities across North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe, Phillips is recognized for its quality standards and multiple customer awards, delivering reliable products that help keep the transportation industry moving.

The Phillips family of companies provides solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of commercial vehicle operators. Through a strong focus on safety, security, cost efficiency, and asset utilization, Phillips continues to advance the industry through innovation, research, and close collaboration with customers.

About the Role

As our Manager – Aftermarket & Fleet Sales, you’ll own your territory (Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi) and grow profitable sales of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts. You’ll work directly with distributors, dealer groups, and fleet accounts, balancing strategic planning with hands-on customer engagement.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on independence, enjoys building strong customer relationships, and wants to see the direct results of their efforts in market share growth and revenue performance. You’ll also partner with Pricing, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Customer Service to deliver competitive solutions and exceptional customer support.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage Your Territory: Take full ownership of your assigned distributors, dealer groups, and fleet accounts. Develop and execute territory business plans, maintain consistent call cycles, and ensure your customers have access to our full product line.
  • Drive Sales & Growth: Achieve or exceed sales targets, expand into new accounts and locations, introduce additional products, and execute promotions and product launches.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Become the trusted partner for branch managers, sales teams, purchasing teams, and fleet maintenance leaders. Support joint sales calls and address service or account issues promptly.
  • Be a Product Expert: Maintain deep knowledge of Phillips products and applications. Train distributor, dealer, and fleet personnel, and provide consultative solutions that show the value and ROI of our products.
  • Execute Pricing & Programs: Present pricing, promotions, and programs confidently while staying within guidelines. Ensure accurate implementation of rebates, price files, and marketing initiatives.
  • Plan & Report: Use CRM tools to plan calls, track activities, and maintain accurate pipeline data. Analyze sales performance to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate & Represent Phillips: Work with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, and Operations. Participate in trade shows, customer events, and facility visits to strengthen customer relationships.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–8+ years of field sales experience in heavy-duty truck, trailer, or aftermarket industries
  • Proven track record of achieving territory revenue and growth goals
  • Strong understanding of distributor and dealer channels
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office tools
  • Willingness to travel 40–60% within your territory

What Sets You Apart

  • Strong ownership mindset with self-directed territory management skills
  • Commercial acumen balanced with disciplined execution
  • Ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders
  • Data-driven approach to identifying growth opportunities
  • Collaborative, customer-focused, and results-oriented mindset
