Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Philadelphia Phillies are seeking enthusiastic and community-minded individuals to serve as Ballgirls during Phillies home games and at various community events throughout the year. Ballgirls play an important role in the game-day experience by fielding foul balls along the baselines while also serving as ambassadors for the Phillies organization through charitable initiatives, youth programs, appearances, and other community engagements.

This position requires a strong softball background, knowledge of baseball, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to represent the Phillies in a professional and engaging manner both at Citizens Bank Park and throughout the community.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Serve as a Ballgirl during Phillies home games, including fielding foul ground balls in designated foul territory.
  • Field foul balls during games by reacting quickly, moving safely within designated foul territory, and making controlled throws as needed.
  • Participate in Phillies Charities and community-related events, appearances, and initiatives, including youth baseball and softball clinics and other community engagement programs.
  • Support the Phillies 50/50 Drawing through ticket sales and related game-day responsibilities.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with fans, community members, media, partners, and other representatives of the organization.
  • Represent the Phillies organization with professionalism and integrity at all games, events, appearances, and community engagements.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous softball experience required.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of baseball preferred.
  • Ability to sprint, field ground balls, and throw accurately.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with fans, members of the community, media, and individuals of varying ages and backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain a professional, enthusiastic, and positive presence while representing the Phillies organization.
  • Flexible availability to work games, appearances, and events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to meet the required annual commitment of approximately 50 games and 20 events.
