Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with neuro interventional experience and Level 1 or 2 trauma background for a 13-week assignment in Plano, TX.

Details
  • Interventional Radiology department located on the A Tower 1st floor of an acute care hospital in Plano, TX
  • Unit consists of 3 suites staffed by 6 RNs and 4 technologists on day shift
  • Procedures include neuro interventional (thrombectomies, coilings, MMAs, spinal angiograms), IR body cases (G-tubes, biopsies, PCNs, Mediports, TIPS), and trauma angiograms (spleen, liver, GDA, renal)
  • Equipment includes Philips imaging systems: 2 biplane and 1 single-plane suite
  • EMR is Meditech; PACS is GE Centricity
  • Meditech and Philips equipment experience preferred
  • Day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • On-call average is approximately 13 days per month, including 1–2 weekends per month
  • Call teams consist of 2 techs and 2 nurses per day
  • No floating required
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent IR Tech experience, with active work in the specialty within the last 6 months
  • Neuro interventional experience required
  • Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
  • Active ARRT certification required
  • VI (Vascular Interventional) registry preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
Additional Information
  • Perform neuro interventional procedures, IR body cases, and trauma angiograms in a high-acuity interventional radiology setting
  • Ideal candidate is a team player who is adaptable to varying physician preferences and comfortable taking call
  • Steel grey scrubs required
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
