Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Rotation
Hours per Shift: 10 hours
Experience: Minimum 1 year of cardiac or critical care experience required; experience in cardiac cath and/or interventional radiology preferred.
License: Current VA or compact license required.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
Must-Have: Experience in high volume, high acuity Cath Lab; ability to scrub, circulate, and monitor; patient ratios of 1:6; team-oriented approach.
Description:
Position consists of four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday with on-call requirements to include weekends and holidays.
The unit performs 12-18 cases daily, operating three newly renovated labs.
The Cath Lab team is dedicated and hardworking, handling various procedures including TAVRS, watchman procedures, carotid interventions, and STEMI calls.
Each lab functions with a three-person team, consisting of RNs who scrub, circulate, and monitor, along with techs who support these roles.
Staff will be working in Philips rooms, equipped with Medrad and manifold for injections, and utilizing EPIC documentation.
Familiarity with various cardiac procedures such as percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), left and right heart catheterizations, and IABP placement is essential.
The role requires proficiency with emergency medications, infection prevention practices, and monitoring procedural sedation.
RNs are required to float within scope to meet facility needs.
Weekends will be covered every other week, with on-call responsibilities for weekdays based on department needs.
The position is open to first-time travelers and locals are accepted.
RTO will be accommodated at the discretion of management.
