Job Description
Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies Division (HII-MT) is seeking a qualified candidate for Engineer Systems Architect. The Engineer Systems Architect performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of the total system product to include: test, installation, operation, maintenance and sustainability. Properly employs test assets in customer-driven test objectives. Performs functional analysis and timeline analysis. Develop system concepts and signal processing algorithms and work as part of a small team to architect, develop, implement signal processing algorithms. The engineer will present an understanding of testing philosophies and methodologies within an agile test environment.
This position is located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio and is within a commutable distance from Beavercreek, Fairborn, Dayton, and Riverside.

Essential Job Responsibilities
Designs and develops system architectures, and defines key capabilities and performance requirements. Defines total systems design and technology maturity constraints in accordance with mission requirements. Develops system element architecture and design and interface definitions. Defines system implementation approach and operational concept. Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.
Minimum Qualifications
  • CLEARANCE: Minimum Secret clearance is required to start.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with enhanced security checks.
  • Experience in Radar or RF systems
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-starter - takes the initiative to research, learn, and deliver. Anticipates the play.
  • Engineer Systems Architect (2) Junior - 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Engineer Systems Architect (3) Mid - 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Engineer Systems Architect (4) Senior - 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Engineer Systems Architect (5) SME- 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.

Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
