Job Description

We have a graduate intern researcher position available in the Chemistry and Nanoscience Center to support the fabrication of "tiled" photoelectrode architectures to drive photoelectrochemical reactions. As a graduate intern researcher, you'll have the opportunity to work within a diverse, dynamic, multidisciplinary team to enhance your professional skills, while also receiving advanced training from a mentor.

We are seeking a motivated intern to join these efforts as part of a Department of Energy (DOE) Energy funded project. The successful candidate will contribute their expertise in physics, materials science and semiconductor device fabrication. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Fabricating tiled thin-film photoelectrodes.
  • Collaborating with external research groups.
  • Analyzing materials using techniques such as atom probe tomography.
  • Contributing to a peer-reviewed publication based on the research findings.

Basic QualificationsMinimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
Undergraduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor's degree program from an accredited institution.
Post Undergraduate: Earned a bachelor's degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year.
Graduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a master's degree program from an accredited institution.
Post Graduate: Earned a master's degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year.
Graduate + PhD: Completed master's degree and enrolled as PhD student from an accredited institution.
