Job Description

The Associate Director, Neuroscience Above Brand Analytics is responsible for helping internal partners/stakeholders make informed strategic and operational decisions. She/he will lead Global Marketing Analytics and Business Insights to facilitate and develop actionable recommendations for our neuroscience franchises based on market insights that address key business needs and objectives. 
Key responsibilities include independently leading Business Insights planning, implementation, communication of results, and alignment of brand strategies and plans. The Associate Director will independently lead all aspects of project planning, such as coordination, setting time lines, gaining cross functional team alignment, shaping conclusions and recommendations, presenting interim and final results, and communicating all project progress/initiatives to Brand Teams, Senior Management, and/or Vendors, where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as the APEX Above Brand Analytics lead supporting Neuroscience franchises, covering multiple disease states and assets including Psych, Migraine, Parkinson’s Diseases.  Become a trusted partner to Brand Leadership, guiding brand strategy and advising on key initiatives based on knowledge of the business and market through data and analytics capabilities.
  • Advance the “Future Fit” APEX Neuroscience Above Brand Analytics vision — impact-, speed-scale-, and product-focused and aligned to key organizational priorities and pain points — by reducing duplicative data purchases and ensuring the infrastructure is in place to enable robust reporting, targeting, and measurement while elevating rigor, speed, and agility across our core capabilities.
  • Enable and demonstrate leadership on the cross-functional business teams across on market products and pipeline assets  and/or indications, to make better and more rapid business decisions by framing & prioritizing critical brand questions.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with APEX cross functional team, US and Key Affiliate contacts to co-create and execute plans, eliminate redundancies and ensure consistency of our market understanding.
  • Proactively identify analytics opportunities to ensure that decision-making is based on the most current, objective and comprehensive insights.
  • Lead and participate in initiatives to improve the APEX data and analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure all APEX activities are conducted on time, within budget, and in accordance with financial and ethical compliance guidelines.
  • Advance brand readiness and data/technology readiness across the neuro portfolio; improve the interplay between pipeline and on-market analytics to deliver best-in-class pipeline success and launch readiness; and harmonize on-market franchises’ data, reporting, forecasting, targeting, and measurement.
  • Deliver closed-loop omnichannel HCP targeting, reporting, and measurement.
  • Build fit-for-purpose patient analytics at scale and speed — spanning exploratory new-market assessment and standardized on-market market structure, patient flow, sizing, in-play, and forecasting.
  • Enable real-time portfolio optimization through fit-for-purpose weekly, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual marketing measurement, simulation, and sub-national optimization solutions at scale.
  • Champion AI-powered data and reporting operations, including agentic anomaly detection, database management and reporting, above-brand communication, harmonization, and automation. 
Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree required.  Advanced degree (e.g. MBA, MA or MS) preferred.  Degree concentration in marketing research, marketing or social sciences. Neuroscience experience preferred. Statistical knowledge is a must.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience (or 8 years if have PhD or Masters) in a marketing analytics function or relevant experience in quantitative analysis of sales and marketing information is required, including use of this information in the development of business plans and strategies.
  • Strong working knowledge of key data sources and analytics approaches to gaining insights at the global and country level. Experience developing and executing global analytics and research plans. Experience analyzing and drawing insights from quantitative and secondary data sets.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and thought leadership with strong story telling capabilities.
  • Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional, global and affiliate teams.
  • Strong analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving. Experience with current methods Analytics/Machine Learning.
  • Advanced experience with 3rd party pharmaceutical data sources like IQVIA/SHS Sales Data (APLD, DDD, Xponent, NSP, NPA), and Specialty pharmacy data.
  • Ability to interact effectively with/present to (verbally and in writing) all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to be agile & nimble to changing business conditions, strong collaboration and teamwork across functional groups to contribute to a productive work culture.  Lead strategically and create trust and respect within the department.
