The Medical Writer plays a critical role in creating accurate, engaging, and compliant scientific content for a variety of audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and industry stakeholders. In this role, you'll translate complex clinical data into clear, compelling deliverables across multiple formats, such as articles, white papers, slide decks, digital media, and live event content. You'll work closely with scientific directors, editors, designers, and subject matter experts to ensure all content meets client objectives, regulatory requirements, and the highest standards of scientific integrity.
This is more than writing - it's about shaping content that informs, educates, and drives meaningful engagement in the healthcare and life sciences space.
What You'll Do
  • Create high-quality content: Develop scientific and medical content for print, digital, and live formats, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance.
  • Interpret complex data: Review and synthesize clinical trial results, research studies, and other scientific materials into audience-appropriate communications.
  • Collaborate with experts: Work with subject matter experts, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and internal teams to gather information and validate content.
  • Ensure compliance: Follow AMA/AP style, brand guidelines, and all relevant industry regulations, including fair balance and disclosure requirements.
  • Support multi-channel projects: Contribute to the development of content for webinars, podcasts, infographics, and interactive learning tools.
  • Edit and proofread: Review your own work and provide quality checks for other team members' content.
  • Stay current: Monitor developments in relevant therapeutic areas to inform content creation.
  • Assist with proposals: Support business development by contributing to project outlines, sample content, and capabilities materials.

Qualifications
Education:

Compensation Range:
$85,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Eligible for annual company bonus program or commission incentive based on role.
