Position Title
Division of Psychology - Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty Position
Position Summary
The College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at California Baptist University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position in the Division of Psychology at any rank. The primary duties include teaching 24 units for the academic year, research/scholarship, and service to the community. The position will start August 2026.
Pay Range
The compensation for this appointment will range from $75,000 - $95,000 annually and reflects what California Baptist University reasonably expects to pay for this faculty appointment. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant, as well as market conditions. In addition to wages, CBU offers a robust suite of employee benefits.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a master's degree in psychology or a related field, have a background in clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, or professional counseling, and have an active license (e.g., marriage and family therapy, professional clinical counseling, psychology) in the state of California. A doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, DMFT, PsyD) in marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
Teaching Responsibilities
Duties include teaching in the Master of Science in Counseling Psychology program. Candidates are expected to be actively engaged in research and/or scholarship and serve with purpose and distinction within the community. A strong interest in and commitment to the integration of faith and learning is required. Preference will be given to applicants with a history of quality teaching, notable scholarship, and demonstrated relational skills. This position will remain open until filled.
