Role Description:

We are excited to announce a fully funded PhD scholarship opportunity with Newcode.ai in the LegalTech field. This position is offered in collaboration with the Department of Informatics & Computer Science, specifically within the Programming Technology research group at the University of Oslo.

Position Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in law with a thesis grade of B or higher. Equivalent qualifications with a strong foundation in law may also be considered.
  • Industrial experience in the legal technology industry
  • Availability to attend courses on-site at the University of Oslo.
  • This job posting is not for candidates who already have completed a doctoral degree/PhD.
  • This job posting is not for candidates who are already enrolled in a PhD and want to switch.

  • Term of PhD: 5th January 2026 to 4th January 2028 (3 years PhD)

Newcode.ai will support you in the UiO and research council application however, you as a candidate will be doing the bulk of the work.
