Both roles are central to academia and share similar credentials, but their primary functions differ: one is a qualification, the other a job position.

Is it worth getting a PhD in history?

A PhD in history prepares individuals for careers in academia, research, or specialized roles in museums and archives, often requiring strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
