 Prairie State College seeks to fill positions for Summer 2026 First 5-week session begins the week of May 26 and ends June 25. Second 5-week session begins the week of June 29 and ends July 30. Eight-week session begins the week of June 8 and ends July 30.  Please indicate the course(s) that you are interested in teaching within your cover letter. Teaching positions are in-person on the main campus.  BIO 111 (Cell & Molecular Biology) - 4 credit hours, 16-week course Course Description: This is a course designed for science and health majors. It provides an introduction to biochemistry, molecular genetics, cell structure, cell function, cellular process, and cell division. This course also includes an introduction to Mendelian inheritance and gene activity  BIO 221 (Human Anatomy & Physiology I) - 4 credit hours, 16-week course Course Description: This is part I of a two-semester sequence of study concerning anatomy and physiology of the human body. Part I includes the study of basic principles of chemistry, cell biology, cellular metabolism, and tissue histology. It also covers the integumentary system, skeletal system, muscle system, and the nervous system.  BIO 222 (Human Anatomy & Physiology II) - 4 credit hours, 16-week course  Course Description: This is part II of a two-semester sequence of study on the anatomy and physiology of the human body. It also covers senses, endocrine system, digestive tract, nutrition, metabolism, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, urinary system, water and electrolyte balance, reproductive system, human growth and development, and human genetics.
