Responsibilities

The Department of Clinical Genomics at Mayo Clinic is seeking a Physician with expertise in Clinical Trials to combine clinical and research careers at Mayo Clinic. This is a position for a board‑certified MD or MD/PhD candidate highly skilled in the clinical practice and in clinical trials involving genetics and genomic patients. The ideal candidate should have a broad understanding of genetics and genomics and expertise in integrating novel technologies into clinical practice. The candidate must possess clinical experience as well as proficiency directing and designing clinical trials, facilitating and promoting early feasibility and first‑in‑human clinical trials, providing oversight and leadership of a departmental clinical trials office, securing extramural funding, and a strong publication record. A proven record of collaborative efforts is desirable.

Mayo Clinic’s values of teamwork and collaboration are essential to providing integrated medical and surgical care to patients with complex conditions. The faculty member will have an academic appointment in The Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science commensurate with prior background.

The Department of Clinical Genomics in Rochester, MN is part of the Enterprise Clinical Genomics Department across all Mayo Clinic sites.
