Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The Exercise Science program in the College of Nursing & Health Sciences invites applications for adjunct instructors. Instructors with the following areas of expertise are encouraged to apply: Fitness Assessment and Exercise Science Administration. Other areas of expertise within the discipline may be considered.
Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
-Develop and teach courses and labs in the Exercise Science curriculum
-Availability to hold office hours and meet with program faculty when necessary
-Serve as a model of professionalism and act as a resource for students within the teaching-learning environment
-Instructors of online courses are required to complete training in online course delivery provided through the University.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned masters degree in Exercise Science or a related field. Evidence of at least 3 years of experience in the field, including expertise in the area to be instructed. Must hold certification through ACSM or NSCA.
Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate teaching experience preferred.
