Job Description
The Computer Science Department at Missouri State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting Fall 2024. Review of applications will begin January 8, 2024; applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
A PhD in Computer Science or closely related field is required by the date of appointment. Applicants are invited from all research areas of Computer Science. Applicants must show a potential for excellence in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. Other expectations include: (1) independent research leading to peer-reviewed discipline-related publications and potential for external funding commensurate with a master's level institution, (2) supervision of student research/thesis/projects, and (3) service to the Computer Science Department, College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Missouri State University, the local/regional community, and the profession. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
