Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach Foundational Core courses, including both College Composition and survey literature (World, American, and/or British), as well as upper-level literature courses as needed. Expertise in Early British studies or American literature is welcomed. Scholarly activity, professional service, student advising, faculty governance responsibilities, and chapel attendance are also required. Additionally, participation in departmental assessment and accreditation efforts are expected.

Department faculty also supervise the University Writing Center as well as two literary journals: Parnassus, an undergraduate journal of art and Creative Writing, and Relief Journal, a national journal of faith and writing.
