Job description

Overview

We are looking for a Data Scientist II to support analytics, machine learning, and AI development work within the Global Supply Chain organization. This role focuses on building and supporting data science models that are used in operational settings. You will work with other data scientists and domain experts to analyze data, develop models, and support their deployment into production.

  • Build and support machine learning models used in existing business workflows. 
  • Work effectively with cross functional teams. 
  • Help ensure models are reliable and suitable for production use. 
  • Maintain good engineering and coding practices. 
  • Contribute to cloud based data science solutions. 

What You Bring: 

  • Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field. 
  • Work Experience: 3+ years of experience with a Master's or PhD, or 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree. 
  • Strong experience using Python for data analysis and machine learning. 
  • Strong communication skills and experience working across product, engineering, and business teams. 
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods and machine learning models. 
  • Experience with databases and querying. 
  • Experience with data visualization tools and dashboarding (Power BI, Dash, Streamlit, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib). 
  • Experience working with AWS or similar cloud platforms. 
  • Experience supporting models in production. 
  • Experience in a diagnostics or healthcare environment is preferred. 
  • Familiarity with Gen AI frameworks is a plus.

Location: This position must be based in Irvine, CA and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $121,200 to $166,700 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
