Job Description

Saint Luke's South Hospital is seeking a Certified Oncology Pharmacy Tech to join our team!

Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist performs all accountabilities associated with compounding, preparing, distributing and charging of medications. Assist in the filling and delivery of medication orders, maintaining automated dispensing cabinet stock, and assist with various duties as assigned.
Pharmacy Technicians who have completed the required education and training may administer vaccines approved by the respective state licensing board.

  • Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. OR 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with flex to stay late or come in early occasionally based on patient needs.

  • Primary location will be Saint Luke's South, but could help out and Saint Luke's North, Plaza, or East.

  • Pick, fill and deliver medication orders and Omnicell stock to appropriate locations

  • Sterile compounding medications

  • Handling chemotherapy/hazardous drugs

  • Restocking automated dispensing cabinet

  • Prepack drugs and compound medications including sterile products, chemotherapy, and special dosage forms (topicals, oral liquids, etc.)

  • Assist with maintaining stock supplies in pharmacy department as needed

  • Answer the phone/ front window, and assist with questions and requests

  • Attend all department and technician meetings

  • Certified vaccine pharmacy technicians may administer vaccines to patients under the supervision of a pharmacist

  • High-level compounding experience preferred

Pharmacy Technicians for Saint Luke's Advanced Care Pharmacy may drive and deliver medications.
