What is a pharmacy tech internship?

A Pharmacy Tech Internship is a hands-on training program designed for individuals who are pursuing a career as a pharmacy technician. During the internship, participants work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists and experienced pharmacy technicians in various settings such as hospitals, retail pharmacies, or clinics. The internship provides practical experience in tasks like preparing medications, managing inventory, processing prescriptions, and interacting with patients. It helps interns apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios and is often required for certification or licensure. Successful completion of a pharmacy tech internship can improve job prospects and prepare candidates for entry-level positions in the field.
