The Pharmacy Informatics Manager at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California position is responsible establishing the system-wide vision and strategy for pharmacy automation and information technology. Plans, evaluates and provides recommendations on a broad range of hardware and software products for applicability, compatibility, safety, efficiency, and long-range integration with other systems. Serves as primary liaison between Department of Pharmacy and other health care professionals with respect to pharmacy information technology and automation issues. This position is an integral member of the Pharmacy Administrative team and responsible for continual evaluation of operational and clinical efficiency initiatives and integration. Provides input and guidance from EMR system standpoint regarding any proposed operational, clinical, or policy changes.

Manages a team of pharmacists and technicians who support the pharmacy department in operational and clinical initiatives related to automation technology, EMR and other informatics needs.

Educational Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy or related equivalent.
  • Preferred - Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Post Graduate Year PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency.
Licenses:
  • Current Pharmacist licensure in the State of California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience:
  • Relevant Pharmacist experience in area of responsibility.
  • Preferred - Lead or supervision experience.
