Job description

Pharmacy Technician I/II

Assists the pharmacist in the preparation of prescriptions as permitted by state law. Maintains good customer service by accepting prescriptions or refill requests, processing sales and answering questions for customers. Achieves customer satisfaction by promptly processing prescriptions, sales transactions, and answering questions. Other duties include stocking and pricing over the counter (OTC) items, maintaining the OTC areas, processing clinic medication requisitions, and other duties as required by the pharmacist.

Salary Range: $35,996 - $48,397 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Education

Required: Pharmacy Technician I: High School diploma or GED from an accredited program

Pharmacy Technician II: High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred: N/A

Experience

Required: Pharmacy Technician I: Minimum 6 months pharmacy tech experience OR previous experience as a pharmacy service representative

Pharmacy Technician II: Minimum 2-4 years retail pharmacy experience Or Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program

Preferred: Pharmacy Technician I: Minimum 2-4 years pharmacy tech experience OR Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program HMO and 3rd Party Managed Care Experience
