Job description

We are a closed-door pharmacy seeking a pharmacy technician to assist in all aspects of our pharmacy process from order and drug procurement through delivery. Individuals must be highly motivated, detail oriented, and personable.

Responsibilities:

  • Inputting new clients (demographics, insurance, prescription profile)
  • Order entry and filling of prescriptions accurately
  • Prescription billing
  • Customer service (answering phones, emails, waiting on clients in person)
  • Maintaining supplies (vials, cards, blisters, labels, etc.)
  • Inventory management
  • Verifying wholesaler orders
  • Maintaining a clean workspace
  • Other duties as assigned

Personal Qualities:

  • Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Works independently as well as in a team
  • Self-motivated
  • Willing to learn

Knowledge/Education/Abilities:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some pharmacy technician experience
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb a flight of stairs multiple times daily
  • Willingness to work overtime if needed

Preferred:

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Knowledge of QS/1
  • Pharmacy billing experience
  • LTC experience
