As a Pharmacy Operations Manager you will:   

  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Director to implement workflow improvements and productivity measures that support performance targets and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in executing company initiatives, core operational processes, and quality improvement programs to enhance service delivery and outcomes
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations, as well as adherence to the Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Support the Pharmacy Director in managing personnel matters, including staffing, performance, and training needs.
  • Partner with Client Services and Sales teams to maintain effective communication with facility staff (e.g., Directors of Nursing, Administrators, Registered Nurses) and resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Oversee operational quality initiatives and cost containment strategies, including pre-packaging, front-end processing, and cycle-fill systems in both dispensing and procurement.
  • Monitor purchasing and inventory levels to meet performance goals, focusing on inventory turnover, use of preferred products and generics, therapeutic interchange, and controlled substance oversight.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the pharmacy’s mission and operational goals.

Qualifications 

Required:

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience

*equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

  • License/Certification(s) as required by state
  • Pharmacy experience (preferred long term care)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated
  • Proven team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
