Job Description
Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Services Director, the Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator is responsible for planning, supervising and organizing various clinical activities for the pharmacy, including researching and recommending potential therapeutic alternatives for patients, as well as contributing with the training and professional development of clinical staff. The incumbent in this position is also responsible for designing, implementing, and coordinating clinical pharmacy services between the pharmacy and medical teams to ensure seamless coordination of services and to promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies. This position also assists the Pharmacy Director to ensure the department meets all legal and accreditation/certification requirements, and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes and standards of the facility and organization. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required. Master's or Doctorate Degree is highly preferred. Possession of an active and valid license in Pharmacy is required. A minimum of three (3) years of institutional clinical pharmacy experience with demonstrated clinical, leadership, and supervisory skills is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office software applications. Ability to travel across the reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
