Experience: Minimum 2 years of retail pharmacist experience required

About the Role

We are seeking a Retail Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity in Hebron, Nebraska. This role involves providing high-quality pharmaceutical care, dispensing medications, counseling patients, collaborating with healthcare providers, and ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations in a retail healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, verify, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with professional standards

• Provide medication counseling and educate patients on proper medication use, dosage, and potential side effects

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes

• Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, drug interactions, and therapeutic effectiveness

• Maintain medication inventory, ensure proper storage, and comply with state, federal, and HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• Active Nebraska Pharmacist License required

• Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred

• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
