Job description

Seeking candidate with current Florida CDR and/or California Designated Representative licensure
Job Function:
We're looking for someone who can be our DR and Shipping Supervisor for our new facility. Must have strong knowledge of drug storage, shipping, recordkeeping, suspicious orders/diversion concerns, returns, recalls, record retention, and regulatory compliance. Candidate must have a clean professional/regulatory background and be capable of supporting NABP accreditation and state licensing activities. Candidate will be responsible for supervising repackaging activities as well.
As a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a team and executing the shipment schedule and daily shipping/receiving activities. You will be tasked with verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Other responsibilities include comparing identifying information, counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices orders, and other records.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follows up daily incoming receiving, makes sure received goods are received in timely manner
  • Maintains daily receiving and inventory log
  • Prepares packing slip and other shipping documents for outgoing shipments
  • Reports any of discrepancy to the supervisor
  • Follows up shipping schedule and requests. Verifies if shipments are shipped on time.
  • Ensures the timely delivery of materials at the most economical cost, consistent with quality standards, affecting quality by assuring that suspicious material is identified and that material is handled.
  • Coordinates with shipping carriers, internal customers and external customers.
  • Responsible for properly and accurately packing and appropriately labeling various types of shipments.
  • Ensure packing supplies; boxes, packing materials, labels, etc are properly stocked.

SKILLS:
  • Basic mathematic skills

  • Familiarity with computers to track various aspects of goods
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Communication proficiency
  • Prior work experience using FedEx and UPS software tools.
  • Excel Pivot Table and basic Excel skills preferred

Requirements
EXPERIENCE:
-Must have at least 2 years of relevant supervisory or managerial experience in pharmaceutical distribution, wholesale distribution, or pharmacy operations, and the experience must be recent (at least one year within the last three years is stipulated for California's DR requirements)
-Florida CDR and California Designated Representative licensure.If not currently licensed, candidate must be demonstrably qualified and willing to obtain required certification/licensure promptly upon hire.
-Must be able to serve as the designated responsible person for the facility and be physically present full-time as required by applicable state law.
EDUCATION: High school diploma with a couple years of experience; Associates preferred.
