Job description

Maintenance Supervisor – 1st Shift


Salary $90,000–$110,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits in California

A growing food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead and support day-to-day first shift maintenance operations, ensuring all equipment and facilities are operating at peak efficiency. This Maintenance Supervisor role requires strong technical & leadership expertise, the ability to troubleshoot and prioritize tasks, and excellent communication skills to effectively manage a team and drive continuous improvement. Previous experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing along with bachelor’s degree in an engineering field preferred.

Key responsibilities for this Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Oversee and execute the preventive maintenance program.
  • Maintain and repair production equipment and facility systems.
  • Manage maintenance inventory and ensure availability of critical parts and supplies.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support for:
    • PLCs, pumps, valves, welding, and conveyor systems
    • Boiler operations and maintenance
    • Ammonia refrigeration systems and electrical troubleshooting
  • Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Minimum requirements for this Maintenance Supervisor’s position:

  • At least 3 years of supervisory or lead experience
  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant, food and / or beverage preferred
  • Excellent working knowledge & skills with the above equipment in a manufacturing plant.
