Job description

Job Title: Financial Analyst

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Setting the Stage:

We are seeking a data-driven Pharmacy Financial Analyst to maximize cost savings and contract compliance across our 12 hospital sites.

Utilizing our data analytics platform and partnering directly with our GPO vendor and Pharmacy Leadership, you will actively audit pricing, recover overcharges, and optimize purchasing strategies.

This role directly impacts our bottom line by translating complex pharmacy data into actionable financial reports for executive leadership.

As a Pharmacy Finanical Analyst A Typical Day might include:

  • Monitoring contract pricing daily to identify anomalies, submit formal overcharge claims, and track recovered funds
  • Identifying lower-cost NDC equivalents, track buyer compliance, and deliver weekly saving directives to the VP of Pharmacy Operations
  • Verifying GPO/340B pricing tiers and submit systematic contract corrections to our wholesaler vendor
  • Validating Authorization to Proceed (ATP) savings projections and perform Financial Impact Agreement (FIA) reconciliation reports
  • Owning the reporting rhythm, including compiling weekly compliance summaries and monthly Executive Scorecards for VP of finance and CFOs

This Role Might Be For You If Have:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel, including data manipulation, pivot tables, and lookup functions

To Be Considered for this opportunity:

Education Required: Bachelor s degree in finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years experience in healthcare finance, pharmacy purchasing, supply chain, or revenue cycle. Understanding of pharmaceutical pricing structures, including WAC, GPO contracts, and 340B programs. Proven ability to analyze financial data, vendor invoices, and purchase history reports. Strong skills in translating complex financial or analytical data into clear insights for leadership. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks by financial impact. Experience Preferred: Apexus Certified 340B Expert (ACE) credential or active pursuit; completion expected within 12 months of hire. Experience working with a healthcare system, integrated delivery network (IDN), GPO, or pharmaceutical wholesaler.  Familiarity with specialized pharmacy procurement analytics tools or data visualization software like Tableau. Background analyzing NDC-level purchasing or managing contract compliance. Experience collaborating across multiple departments and implementing process improvement methodologies. Advanced proficiency in writing and running complex database queries (e.g. SQL) to extract, manipulate, and analyze massive health system data sets.
