Job description

SpecialtyRx is seeking an experienced and highly organized IT professional to serve as the internal owner of infrastructure operations, vendor coordination, asset management, system deployments, and technical documentation.

This position will work closely with the IT Administrator, software development teams, business departments, and external technology vendors to ensure projects are completed successfully, systems are properly documented, and critical operational knowledge remains within the organization.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with excellent organizational and project management skills. This individual should be capable of understanding infrastructure, networking, security, cloud services, servers, software deployments, and vendor-managed environments while ensuring the company is never dependent on a single vendor or individual for critical knowledge.

Shift- 9:00am-5:00pm (Monday- Friday and weekends if needed)

Specialty Rx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. Specialty Rx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate infrastructure projects, upgrades, deployments, and technology initiatives.
Manage and oversee deployment of new servers, systems, and environments.
Coordinate creation and setup of new software instances and application environments.
Maintain ownership of infrastructure documentation, network diagrams, system configurations, and operational procedures.
Develop and maintain technical runbooks and standard operating procedures.
Manage IT asset inventories, hardware lifecycle, software licensing, warranties, and vendor contracts.
Participate in meetings with infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and software vendors.
Review vendor recommendations and ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and aligned with business needs.
Maintain detailed knowledge of all vendor-managed systems and services.
Ensure all critical configurations, credentials, procedures, diagrams, and operational knowledge are documented internally.
Track project status, deliverables, timelines, risks, and vendor commitments.
Assist with onboarding of new pharmacies, locations, systems, and technology platforms.
Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure planning initiatives.
Serve as an internal technical resource and liaison between business units, vendors, and IT leadership.
Escalate infrastructure risks, concerns, and opportunities to the CIO.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems administration, networking, IT operations, or related fields.
Strong understanding of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, virtualization, networking, firewalls, cloud services, backups, and infrastructure operations.
Experience working with managed service providers, consultants, and third-party technology vendors.
Strong project management, documentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to understand technical discussions and effectively challenge assumptions when necessary.
Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
Experience with asset management, configuration management, and operational documentation.
Healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated-industry experience is a plus.
