POSITION: Security Guard (Swing Shift)
DEPARTMENT: Clubhouse
REPORTS TO: Security Supervisor
HOURLY RATE: $20.00
About the club:

Established in 1887, Denver Country Club is recognized as the first club west of the Mississippi and one of the most prestigious private clubs in the country. The 585 member, by invitation only private club, hosts an 18 hole golf course, two indoor golf simulators (Foresight Quads), indoor and outdoor tennis, platform tennis, pickleball, ice hockey, lawn bowling, croquet, casual and fine dining. The club as been recognized as a Top 100 Platinum Clubs of American by the Club Leaders Forum. DCC has a long history of golf championships including the Denver Open (PGA Tour Event 1962-1964), Trans-Mississippi Amateur (2022) Pacific Coast Amateur and Curtis Cup (1984). A Golf Course renovation was completed in 2020 - Gil Hanse. The renovation has helped to secure Denver Country Club as one of the premier golf courses in the Western United States. The Golf Shop is consistently recognized as an AGM Platinum Award Winning Golf Shop (Top 100) and has been recognized as a multiple winner of the Colorado Section PGA Merchandiser of the Year - Private Category.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To be a preeminent country club in the nation by providing a haven for members and their families to create long-lasting memories and friendships through unparalleled experiences.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the safety and security of The Denver Country Club members, guests, employees and physical property and assets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensures the safety and security of the entire property, members and their guests, and club employees through patrols, lockups and procedures and training as outlined by the Club's bylaws, employee manual, policies and procedures and the security procedure manual.
  • Utilizes a professional, welcoming, polite demeanor in all interaction with the Membership and their guests.
  • Stops vehicles without stickers to assure the validity of vehicle on property.
  • Checks tee sheets every day in order to welcome our Members and their guests that may be coming to the property.
  • Announces any guests into the Clubhouse with the appropriate department.
  • Communicates to/from Golf Services with radios to announce that a Member and/or guest has come to play golf. Also utilizes same service to verify that a Member is expecting a Guest.
    Completes all reports, logs, charts, and correspondence in a neat, factual, unbiased, professional and timely manner.
  • Maintains the proper schedule of checks, patrols and lockups, and reports any unusual and suspicious activity. Turns lights on and off as scheduled throughout the property.
  • Certified with the Red Cross, CPR, and familiar with proper application of minor first aid.
  • Maintains a neat appearance at all times with the club issued uniforms and security cart and truck
  • Performs as a back-up doorman as needed.
  • Able to triage incidents and accidents, complete first injury reports and dispatch for emergency care if needed.
  • Monitors fire, smoke and burglar alarms and is aware of their functions
  • Always prepared to help our Membership in any kind of weather. Follows ice melt procedures and communicates any weather-related safety issues to Grounds
