We're searching for a motivated Petroleum Lab Technician to support our team in Broussard, LA.


In this role, you'll be actively engaged in daily laboratory operations, supporting critical testing through sample preparation, analytical testing, and accurate documentation within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). You'll work hands-on with laboratory instrumentation, contribute to quality and compliance initiatives, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organized laboratory environment. This position offers the opportunity to strengthen technical expertise, collaborate with an experienced team, and directly contribute to reliable, high-quality results that support essential laboratory operations.


What You'll Do

  • Perform sample preparation and analytical testing in accordance with approved methods, SOPs, and quality standards
  • Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and instrumentation
  • Accurately enter, document, and review sample information and test results in LIMS
  • Follow approved methods, SOPs, quality-control procedures, and Good Laboratory Practices
  • Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements
  • Support audits, corrective actions, inventory management, laboratory housekeeping, and cross-training
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and meet required turnaround times
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Science or related scientific discipline preferred
  • Previous hands-on analytical lab experience gained through employment, internships, research projects, or academic coursework
  • Working knowledge of analytical instrumentation, sample preparation, and routine laboratory testing preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other basic software applications
  • Experience with LIMS systems is a plus
