Description:
Express Petroleum Transportation, a leading supplier of fuel is seeking an individual that can be part of a team environment as a dispatcher for multiple divisions of fuel tank hauling equipment. This position has flexible hours with a minimum of 50 hours per week. Monday-Saturday afternoon/evening shift availability.
Essential Functions:
• Monitor fuel inventory management systems; maintain delivery schedule for customers
• Use dispatching software to create the daily dispatch of fuel deliveries
• Monitor planning board for efficient on-time deliveries
• Answer driver calls regarding load requirements
• Analyze daily product delivery requirements for fuel operations; maximizing equipment utilization; route deliveries to minimize delays caused by customer requirements and issues and traffic congestion
• Immediately report and document all accidents, injuries, spills, mixes, security issues, unsafe conditions or other incidents to the General Manager and Safety Director
• Create and maintain a Safety Culture; ensure all transportation operations comply with all facility, company, state and federal rules and DOT regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Prior experience as a petroleum dispatcher.
• Strong math, organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to solve problems
• Proficiency with basic computer skills: i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook
• Can be entrusted to make sound business judgments and decisions and meet assigned deadlines
• A strong working knowledge of Midland/Odessa and surrounding areas
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task and function effectively under pressure and time constraints
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all employees and customers
