Asst/Assoc/Full Professor - Orthopaedic Surgeon, Adult Reconstruction

Position Description

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is recruiting for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Orthopaedic Adult Reconstruction. The position, with Texas Tech Physicians (TTP), is based in Lubbock, Texas and provides care for patients from West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. The position will give the opportunity to participate in resident education through clinical rotations, conferences, and journal clubs and to conduct research activities individually or in collaboration with faculty, residents and medical students.

Required Qualifications
  • MD/DO/MBBS.
  • Completion of an Orthopaedic Residency.
  • Completion of, or in process of completing, a Fellowship in Reconstruction.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible.
Major/Essential Functions
  • Perform patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations and create treatment plans.
  • Conduct joint replacement and revision surgeries.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and current medical records including surgical documentation.
  • Outpatient and inpatient responsibilities with call coverage, OR time and clinic.
  • Participate in the clinical medical education of students and residents.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
