Duties of a Pest Control Technician:
  • Our Pest Control Technicians are highly trained, licensed, and skilled individuals who are compelled to solve pest problems from simple to complex scenarios.
  • Our Pest Control Technicians may work exclusively with food manufacturers, distributors, pharmaceutical and food grade clients
  • The primary duties of RKE Pest Control Technicians include inspection, pest identification, selecting pest control methods/products required, exclusion practices to keep pests out of structures, documentation and recommendation of action taken and required.
  • After an extensive paid training period, our Pest Control Technicians work independently, with support from colleagues, management and the office team

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Pest Control - Conduct inspections to determine the source of pest activity. Select and build a solution of products and services to remedy pest presence. Perform pest treatments and install products to create a pest-free environment. Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
  • Client Experience - Build relationships with our high profile clients through friendly, helpful, and courteous behavior during service visits. Listen to client needs and offer solutions to pest issues and recommend appropriate services to resolve client concerns. Identify and alert clients of additional service offerings that will provide value to the client.
  • Continuous Learning and Development- Become knowledgeable in the array of available products and services. Stay current on the latest developments, trends, technology, and regulations in the pest control industry. Training and development doesn't stop at pest control, we also coach and train on running a business, managing time and efficiencies and interpersonal skills. Obtain and maintain licenses/certificates required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Position Requirements
  • Successfully meet pre-employment background screen
  • Possess a valid driver's license and undergo motor vehicle driving record check
  • Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Client-facing experience preferred

  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using technology in a work environment, handheld, apps, Google suite - gmail, calendar and g-drive a plus
