The Pest Management Consultant is responsible for actively closing sales opportunities provided by the company, while also generating additional sales through their own proactive efforts. This will contribute to the overall success of the team by fostering new business relationships and expanding our existing ones through the provision of additional services. This collective effort is aimed at enabling the branch to successfully meet and surpass it's budgeted goals and objectives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Consistently ask for, obtain, and work referrals from our new and existing customer base each day.
  • Visit all new construction developments the company has provided pre-construction treatment for monthly to establish relationships with new homeowners as they take possession of homes to increase company retention and sell additional services.
  • Incorporate a system to follow up on all pending sales and potential opportunities to make sales.
  • Provide a complete and thorough inspection of every property prior to offering a solution to customers.
  • Understand all treatment protocols and procedures to effectively explain solutions to customers.
  • Price services in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ensure that annual termite renewals are consistently performed daily, identify potential threats to the customer’s health and property during those annual inspections, and provide solutions to the customer that address those issues present at the time of inspection.
  • Perform all inspections scheduled daily.
  • Develop a positive rapport with all branch personnel to ensure a productive workplace for all team members.
  • Complete all necessary electronic paperwork in accordance with company guidelines and objectives.
  • Always maintain a professional appearance, including wearing a complete company uniform (no non-branded hats, jackets, or any other clothing can be worn).
  • Participate in meetings as required.
  • Maintain a clean company image by routinely washing your company vehicle and organizing its contents.
  • Follow all company policies and guidelines, in addition to all state and federal laws.
  • Perform other duties as required by management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to identify common wood-destroying organisms (WDOs)
  • Understanding of termite treatment techniques and inspection protocols
  • Familiarity with building construction and structural vulnerabilities
  • Skilled in using pest control application tools and equipment
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics
  • Knowledge of applicable safety standards and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Basic math and record-keeping skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and responsibly

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (Required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Must be able to work a standard 40-50 hour work week
  • Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace
  • Professional appearance and adherence to company uniform policy


Compensation

  • After completion of paid training, the position will transition to commission or minimum hourly rate, the greater of the two.
