Position: Pest Control Technician
Regular Full-Time/Hourly Non-Exempt
Office Location: North Highlands - This is NOT a remote position.
Good Life Pest Solutions has been a leader in Pest and Termite business in the Sacramento region for over 40 years. We have the largest in-house reconstruction team in the state. We have a full-time dynamic team of marketing professionals that land our team with the best leads.
Key Responsibilities:
Reports to and work under the general supervision of the Past Control Manager who assigns duties and reviews work for effectiveness according to established work standards. Coordinates the activities and training of the crews. Assists with the training and guidance of participants in specific project areas. Responsible for coordination and operation of a crew consisting of diverse members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of homes to identify pest activity, entry points, and risk areas.
  • Diagnose pest issues and determine appropriate control measures.
  • Apply pesticides and other pest control methods according to label instructions and regulatory guidelines.
  • Install pest control devices such as traps and bait stations as needed.
  • Communicate with customers about findings, treatment plans, and preventive steps they can take.
  • Complete and submit all service documentation accurately and on time, including work orders, inspection reports, and treatment records.
  • Maintain equipment and company vehicles in a clean and organized manner.
  • Use and store chemicals safely, following all company protocols and government regulations.
  • Attend required safety and training meetings.
  • Respond to customer concerns or callbacks professionally and promptly.
  • Uphold company standards for customer service, safety, and quality.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Active and valid State Pest Control Applicator License for residential services.
  • Working knowledge of residential pest types, behaviors, and treatment methods.
  • Ability to safely handle and apply chemical pesticides.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers effectively.
  • Good record-keeping skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across a daily service route.
  • Physical ability to lift equipment (up to 50 pounds), access attics, crawl spaces, and other confined areas, and work outdoors in various conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Performance Expectations:
  • Deliver high-quality, efficient pest control service while minimizing pesticide use when appropriate.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Follow all company policies, safety rules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Meet or exceed customer satisfaction goals and reduce callback rates.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting.
  • Use of ladders and crawl space access.
  • Handling of pest control equipment and chemicals.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and vehicle.
