Job Description:
Personal Trainer - Private Country Club
Join our fitness team and work with members in a premium private-club environment where relationships, personalized service, and member experience are just as important as the workout itself.
The Personal Trainer will deliver the member and guest fitness instruction experience to the highest possible level. This key professional role includes world-class fitness instruction including Personal Training, Small Group Training, and Group Exercise Class Instruction. Additionally, it is imperative for the Personal Trainer to consistently contribute to the overall success of the Fitness Department and Club by supporting all aspects of the Fitness Program - including events, fitness activities and membership growth. The Personal Trainer is expected to protect the health and safety of all members, guests and staff, and follow sound fiscal practices to achieve the desired business objectives of each club.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Certifications: National certification for Personal Training obtained by an accredited institution and approved by Fitness Director.
CPR and First Aid certification required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of overall experience in the health and wellness industry, specializing in Personal Training and/or Group Fitness - to include health clubs, private clubs, fitness facilities or similar environments.
Skills and Abilities:
Create, develop, and deliver innovative fitness instruction.
Demonstrate acumen in all areas of Private Fitness Instruction, Group Fitness Instruction, Fitness Education, and overall health and wellness.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Effectively market self in a professional manner to attract new business and maximize instruction opportunities.
Work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.
Anticipate member and guest needs and respond with congenial hospitality.
Remain highly organized, with the ability to multi-task, and work well within a team environment.
Respond to member and guest concerns with urgency and professionalism.
Remain current with all professional certifications.
Provide members and guests with customized personal attention to meet and exceed their needs and expectations.
Address and deliver extra details and touches required to go above and beyond member and guest expectations.
Be willing to assist all members and guests with technical feedback designed to improve performance and drive new business.
Actively greet members and guests for all types of fitness instruction whenever possible.

Business/Fiscal:

Review personal performance numbers on a weekly and monthly basis.
Actively sell all club services and retail products.
$45- $60/hour + Commission
Pay Range: $17.13 - $30.00
