Job description

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides individualized support to clients, primarily focusing on elderly care and disability support. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring clients' comfort and safety, and maintaining accurate documentation using electronic health records and mobile app tools. The PCA works independently with clients, requiring no travel between locations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal hygiene and grooming
  • Support client mobility and use of Hoyer lift
  • Provide medication reminders
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks
  • Offer companionship and emotional support
  • Document care activities accurately in electronic health records and mobile apps
  • Deliver care tailored to clients with cerebral palsy and other disabilities
  • Schedule Require: SET SCHEDULING START ASAP!
  • Monday-Sunday: 6pm-9pm
  • Wednesday and Saturday: 4pm-9pm

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic patient care skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience in mobility assistance
  • Ability to assist with personal hygiene

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of personal care experience
  • CPR certification
